US police have shot dead 385 people in the first five months of 2015.
A new report published by The Washington Post shows that more than two people a day have been killed on average. That means at the current pace, US police will have shot and killed nearly one thousand people by the end of the year. Meanwhile, official data over the past decade have recorded about 400 fatal police shootings a year. Several cases of police killings have caused widespread protests across the United States in the past few months.
